1. The VIEW Skylounge & Bar (Medienhafen)

This rooftop bar has one of the best views of the Rhine Tower and the Media Harbour, where you can also enjoy a relaxing cocktail. In addition to 5 special signature drinks, you can also get all kinds of classics here.

A highlight here is also the view, as The VIEW is located on the 16th floor of the Innside by Melia Hotels. You have a fantastic panorama from the large windows. But the best view is directly onto the Rhine Tower at sunset or at night, when everything is brightly lit.

By the way: The Innside by Melia is also a great hotel for your overnight stay in Düsseldorf. It’s best to book a room on one of the upper floors with a view of the Rhine Tower.

2. Paradise now (Medienhafen)

Tropical plants, hanging rattan chandeliers, soft electronic beats and a cool waterfall behind the huge bar, while videos from the Californian skate and surf scene are projected onto the wall. A bit of Miami Vice and 80s flair with a touch of tropical feeling awaits you in this cool location, which is also very popular with social media influencers from the region. Long queues at the entrance are not uncommon here, especially at weekends.

In addition to the cocktail bar, there is also a restaurant and a club here.

3. Mojito’s fine cocktail bar (Medienhafen)

Mojito’s is a classic cocktail bar with a touch of Cuba. There are even competition drinks here, created by the barmen of the house in cocktail competitions.

4. The Paris Club in the 25hour Hotel (Stadtmitte)

Bonjour is the motto on the 17th floor of the 25hours Hotel Das Tour. Here you can enjoy your cocktail in The Paris Club with a view over the whole city and a French touch. For example, the products and spirits are largely French.

An overnight stay at the 25 hour Hotel Das Tour is definitely worthwhile. In addition to The Paris Club, there is also a great restaurant here and from the rooms on the upper floors you have a great view to fall asleep and wake up to.

5. Square Bar (Derendorf)

In addition to the great cocktails (with lots of cool creations), the location here is also special. The Squarebar is located rather inconspicuously between 2 archways. You also get a different menu here depending on the time of year.

6. Me and all lounge düsseldorf (Stadtmitte)

A pretty cool cocktail lounge can be found in the centre of Düsseldorf’s Japan quarter (aka Little Tokyo) on the top floor of the me and all Hotel. In addition to delicious cocktails with a great view, DJs also play here from time to time. You can also order ramen or other Japanese specialities from the menu.

The me and all Hotel is the perfect place to discover Düsseldorf. You are practically in the middle of the Japanese centre of the city with many Japanese restaurants, manga shops and all kinds of other cool shops. The other sights of Düsseldorf are not far away either.

7. Melody bar (Altstadt)

Not quite so easy to find in the old town is the Melody bar, even though it is located right in the centre of the lively Kurze Straße. This classic cocktail bar is located in the narrowest building in Düsseldorf. You can easily overlook that ;) But it’s all the cosier inside.

8. The Oaks bar (Altstadt)

The Oaks Bar is located in a small listed building. Narrow spiral staircases lead to the 3 floors of the bar. It’s best to try to get a seat by the window on one of the upper floors. Then you can watch the hustle and bustle outside in the always busy old town while you sip your cocktail inside between the old brick walls.

9. May Tai (Altstadt)

Want to end the day with a fruity cocktail in a Caribbean atmosphere? Then visit the Mai Tai Bar on the Kurze Straße.  There is an outdoor and indoor area here and both are always quite busy.

10. Cocktail bar 112 at the casemates (Altstadt)

Cocktail bar 112 is sure to give you that Caribbean feeling. Sip your cocktails here between palm trees and on fine sand with a direct view of the Rhine.

11. Beuys bar (Altstadt)

This bar is a tribute to the famous Düsseldorf artist Joseph Beuys. True to the motto “Cocktails are art”, you can not only enjoy all kinds of delicious cocktails here, but also look at pictures by regional artists and relax to old-school sounds.

12. Elephant Bar (Altstadt)

The Elephant Bar is a cocktail and dance bar in one. In a small room next to the bar, a DJ regularly plays at the weekend, usually heating up the guests with R&B and hip-hop. You can then cool down with the corresponding cocktails.

13. Ruby Luna Bar (Carlstadt)

A very special ambience awaits you in the bar of the Ruby Luna Hotel. Rockets, UFOs and stars: many things here are reminiscent of the space age of the 60s. There are also a few guitars in the interior, which you can also use if you ask. Add a whisky sour and relax on the designer couch, and everything will be fine …

By the way: A stay at the Ruby Luna Hotel itself is not a bad idea either. The building once housed a Commerzbank branch and is the tallest in the city centre. 14. Hideaway (Carlstadt)

Yuto Nagasawa, who has already won several cocktail competitions, mixes the drinks here. The menu includes really cool signature cocktails as well as many international classics.
